Support Request: Unable to register with SiteRemote

Description

We have deployed an autoconfiguration file to a variety of Windows devices running Site Kiosk. In 75% of the cases the Auto Registration worked. But for the remaining ones, they don't autoregister. When I try to manually register one, I get a message:

"Other client registration already in progress. Maybe a automatic registration process?"

Is there a way to get these remaining computers to register with SiteRemote?

There is no known issue. You will need to verify that the client computer can connect to SiteRemote Server (port 8086) and that the credentials in the autoregistration.config file are correct.

If you want to try to register SiteKiosk manually with the configuration editor, you need to remove the autoregistration.config that you have placed in the folder “C:\Users\Public\Documents\SiteRemote Client”. The file will disappear automatically if the auto registration is successful.

It appears that some of our clients are unable to communicate over port 8086.

Since we access the SiteRemote application over HTTPS, could we change the server port to port 80?

You should see an option for that on the back end SiteRemote Administration settings (yourhostname.com/administration).

I do see that option. However when I try to change it to port 80, I get a message that I have to specify a port number between 1024-65535. Is there a way to use port 80?
